Critique Style Requested: Standard
The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
I continue to observe, and photograph our local turkeys out back. Here’s one showing off that I like.
Cropping? Exposure?
Z9, 180-600 lens, Nikon 1.4 TC, monopod, 1/1000th, f 9, 740mm, ISO 12800, cropped to 8256 x 5504.
Getting low to the ground gives the viewer a nice sense of the area around the turkey. Highlights are bright with details present so I would not be inclined to modify them for this shot. Comp is good and this Tom looks ready to find a date. Well done…Jim

Wow! Now that’s an impressive looking turkey! As Jim mentioned, getting low has worked a treat and I think that angle has made the bird more impressive.
Exposure looks good to me. I reckon you could add a little more OOF grass in the foreground to allow for his “virtual” feet.
