Towpath Sunset

The C&O canal towpath follows the Potomac River from Washington, DC to Cumberland, MD. It’s a major walking/biking trail that has saved significant natural areas within the city and suburbs from development. This view is a summertime sunset at the confluence of the Monocacy and Potomac Rivers. While this spot is approaching the 30 mile limit from my MD house, there are parts of the canal closer to home that I visit much more often. This image is a three shot composite, hand blended using luminosity masks.

A lovely place to be able to go for a walk or ride, Mark. A very good job on the blend. I need to figure out how to do that kind of thing.

Dennis, I used a tutorial from Sean Bagshaw to learn about doing blends using luminosity masks. I’m sure there are other web based sources as well.

Thanks, Mark. Sean has excellent tutorials.
