Winter Sunset on the Potomac

In the heart of winter, the sunset lines up with the Monocacy River as it joins the Potomac. In this case, the clouds rolled in too fast to get great colors in the clouds, but there was this fine subtle reflection of the glow on the horizon through the trees on the far bank of the Potomac, with some nice color shifts. Absolutely beautiful colors, Mark. The large version reminds so much of a Monet - an impressionist river painting.

Oooh, those colors! Really lovely.

Mark, you have created a beautiful image again. The sunset colors are magnificent and blend so well. I think this is up there as one of my favorites. Hmmmm, how many favorites do I have now??
