Translucence

Description:

I took this image at the beautiful Longwood Gardens in eastern Pennsylvania. I loved the way the sunlight was shining through the greenhouse roof and illuminating the petals from behind. I also liked the effect created by the roof beams in the background. I cropped it square because I thought that resulted in the most flattering composition.

Hey Mark, I like the backlighting here and the square frame. The veins in the leaves are terrific.

Mark, the translucency, veins and color in the leaves are excellent. The textures from the oof structure do add interest as it’s not clear (in viewing) what those are while there is a structural similarity with the leaf veins.

Thanks David and Mark!
