An excellent find here, Don. Although I was in telecom for 35 years I never hiked the sticks as they were called, the scene reminds of telephone poles in alignment. I like very much how this is processed. It has excellent depth overall as well as the B&W fits the scene too.

btw: a very good title too from a really super movie. Barry Newman and Clevon Little.

I like the composition and the processing Don.

Paul, Michael, thanks.

Don,

Love this! Of course the composition with the “line” of saguaro works very nicely.

I’m not sure if anyone else sees this and doubt it would be managed, but this is what I see… I’m sure you’re familiar with miniature/tilt-shift photography? It’s where a standard format landscape (or cityscape for that matter) is transformed in to a visual illusion that miniaturizes elements in the scene. Not sure if I’m explaining this well, so I’ll simply post a picture off the net to illustrate.

I get this impression due to the shallow(er) depth of field; ie. the sky/clouds are soft (expect just the nature of the clouds and not a depth/focus issue… but regardless, the softness as a similar effect to the intential blurring of the background with the example below. The sharp details in the foreground also enhance this effect.

Well, at least for me. The processing is perfect for this as well. Does anyone else see this? Or do I need to have another cup of coffee?

Great Image Don. I really like the foreground and how it takes me to the background. Great Tone. !!!

Lon, thanks. I understand what you’re saying.

Gill, thanks.
