I like your composition, Steve. The sunny bush in the foreground against the unlit background with very similar foliage oriented in a different direction works very well for my taste.
Nice idea! For me, a crop of just the right half would be very interesting. That lets the lighted branches stand out against the BG in a more abstract pattern.

My preference is for the original, Steve.
Steve: The original for sure for me. I like seeing all that well lit stuff and how it dominates the frame. The crop gives too much weight to the BG IMO. The detail in the original is marvelous. >=))>
