Allen, nice shot like that you where able to get eye level with the bird always makes a difference. like that you can see him in his element with the mussels on the rock. Also enjoy the look back and the face he is making, almost looks like he is up to no good. As for the crop is it a square crop or is it just the view on my screen? if you can I might change the crop and put him a little higher and to the left and have a little more of the rock and food in the foreground. but beautiful shot and keep up the good work.

Allen, very nice image of this fellow, with good eye contact, fine detail, and great environment. I like your placement in the frame, just as it is, but I might consider a 7 x 5 crop as well.
I also might try lightrning the area on the area behind it’s legs, to provide a better contrast between the dark rocks below.
Fine image!

I like the space around the subject, Allen. Great environmental and wonderful pose of the bird. Nicely done.

Nice one Allen with an environmental element included. Good pose on the bird although it looks a little soft to me. This crop looks good to me even though I am sure you could play around with other versions. Interesting image.
