I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of these up and the Washington shore area. Nice-looking bird with good detail, pose, and composition. A good candidate for the next camouflage challenge.

Thanks for your comments, David. I’ve only seen these amongst the rocks, generally in the fall during their migration.

A nice bird to see and photograph. I like the intertidal rock with the periwinkles. I have seen these in Northern California and one accidental record for Ontario. Well done…Jim
