"Weeping Willow and Pampas Grass"

It’s been a while since I post here (or do any photography by that matter).
Just had a rare morning out just to catch some breath, and was able to get this one.
Not very exciting but kind of like it.

João the variety of subtle textures, colors and shapes look great to me. There’s a bit of a pointillist feeling here in the very inviting scene. The bluish area in the upper left adds a nice extra feeling of depth.

The layers of colours and textures are quite nice and I like it a lot!

Great colors and I like your composition . What an intriging tree in the background.
I should go back there to make images of that tree. You think its not an exiting image I think it just is! Fine work !

I love it! It has a very impressionistic look to it.

In this gentle scene, the tree and the pampas seem to be in a conversation … perhaps both thinking they should have a place in Monet’s garden. For me, the vibrancy of the green in the pampas seems like the greenery also wants to be in that conversation, and I think it is intruding. To show what I am thinking, I desaturated that and also vignetted a bit, hopefully losing none of the dreamy atmosphere of your original work.
Happy 2022 to you and yours!

As much as I love this image and composition I have to agree with this statement. That tree is a knockout and deserves more attention. I do like the image as is, however. I want to emphasize that.

Don’t underestimate this image, it has a very dreamy look to it that works beautifully.

I actually find both the tree and the grasses to be very interesting as stand-alone elements. But for some reason, the image just plain works really well when they are combined together like this. The composition just creates a nice diagonal visual flow that makes it easy for my eye to wander across the image to appreciate all the colors and textures.
