Critique Style Requested: Standard
The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
I’m sure I’ve taken hundreds of shots of the various peeps in flight, rarely with much success, so I do like that I have one or two in focus and I like the landing pose of the center one.
Specific Feedback
Any thoughts appreciated.

I like the group with the two in focus in the center, Allen. I like the emphasis you put on them to make them stand out, but to my eye, you may have gone just a bit too far with it as it’s starting to look obvious and I’m more a fan of subtle emphasis.

Hi Allen
There from the cheep seats, I would have love to see the photograph at f12. But I understand the did not give a heads up and time to reset the f stop. This type of shot is one I have been working on for years.
Nice work.

Nice grouping you captured Allen and I like that the middle two are sharpest. Maybe backing off the contrast on these would be an improvement. I also notice the space between the feet/toes on these two birds are brighter that the overall BG. Wonder if you darkened the BG and what I am seeing is a selection issue. Still, I really like this shot and how it conveys a sense of these birds moving together to work the shore.

Nice image of these little guys Allen. I like the lift offs and the grouping. Good comments and suggestions from others above. I know how hard it is to get these guys to hold still as is evidenced by all the lift offs in this, both because of the waves and they’re skittish in general.
