What artistic feedback would you like if any?

Background is dark and predominate OOF - I thought to use it to emphasize the erosion of the beachfront due to storm. Is it too much of a distractor? or does it make the point.

Nikon D500 PF500 lens at 1/1000sec f8.0 ISO800 ev 1/3.

EJ, this is a good look at what seems to be a curious bird. Definitely good for a grin. That white eye ring sure adds to the feeling of an astonished bird…
