What is this?

Went on a “street photography” walk but in a natural setting. Was trying to be spontaneous using the camera handheld. Mixed results but I like experimenting with composition in ways that seems more difficult when the camera is on a tripod. Any idea what this might be a picture of? Hint: It’s two items.

This definitely would fit in a modern art museum somewhere; crazy patterns.

Item number one a photograph of a reflection, and item number two the mushrooms ingested to help with the processing?

Reflections of a tree in moving water. Awesome shapes and design throughout. Makes the viewer use their imagination.

Well that was quick @Patricia_Brundage. Yes, you are correct. This is an image of tree branches reflected in wavy water. Good eye!

Oh, this is very cool! Really interesting reflections for tree branches. I like the composition with the two darker/denser lines framing the finer ones.

Love the capture. Did you go B&W with this or is this the natural tones? It is stunning and a superb work of “art”. It should be on a museum wall.

This is a stunning abstract Tony!

@EJ_Jewett - Colors were quite subdued to begin with. Also, this image was part of an all-day outing to Ruby, a ghost town in Arizona, and I had my camera in B&W mode for that. The LCD image after shooting made it obvious that monochrome would work well with this image.

Great abstract, Tony! Great patterns and shapes and the B&W looks excellent.

Great abstract image to admire. It stimulates the observer’s imagination, it could be anything. I could see anything in the frame, a stunning image. Thanks for sharing.

I see fried eggs, eyes, or breasts in this image. There’s probably a lot more when I revisit it.

Beautiful patterns, well spotted!
Some eyes can be seen too, looking back at you!

Have you printed this one Tony? I think it would look great on a wall. Especially with contemporary decore

@Nathan_Klein, yes, I print everything and this one works quite nicely as a print.

Tony,

Fantastic natural abstract. I would have guessed trees reflecting in water as well - hard to see the wavy-ness, but no matter, it’s an abstract so no rules, definitions apply.

No nits or suggestions, wonderful as presented.
