The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
Got to snooping around the cactus and succulent corner of the garden today and came across a number of keepers. Astral black holes suck in everything around them so I thought this looked like the little spines were whirling into the vortex. Well, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. >=))>
Specific Feedback
Was too lazy to do a stack but I think f22 worked OK.

Oh my! Nature is amazing with geometry and math, isn’t she? That spiral! That prceision! That pointiness! So fascinating. Excellent detail and the square crop emphasizes the pattern perfectly.
I love this, Bill. It’s a classic kind of design, but like so many classics, seeing new variations never gets old. I love the spiral, the way the greens and oranges set each other off, and those white spines. Not sure what would be added by stacking (except impressive tech skills). It’s fantastic as is, and I like that the white hole kind of loses its detail, as it should.

Most excellent one, Bill. I assume this is a form of barrel cactus maybe? All the ones I see don’t have this type of “swirl” pattern look at the top. Gives the feeling of a traffic roundabout or very crowded race track…
No thoughts for change at all…
Well, you could look at the white hole as generating all those stars. This is the best image I’ve seen for showing the spiral pattern of the spines, Bill. You need to tag this one for the next time there’s a weekly challenge on patterns. This is a really cool image and I wouldn’t change a thing.
I am really drawn to this image. It puts me in mind of a labyrinth and I want to enter into it, although the spines might be a problem. I’m actually glad you didn’t stack; f/22 worked great. Well done!
