This is so dark and dreamy with the exception of the upper left corner going nuclear. I love the shadows and light hitting the sand creating beautiful lines and the backlit mountains are nicely silhouetted capped off by that beautiful sunset but I almost feel like the sunset is taking something away from the rest of the image because that left side is so intense. I think if you even out the exposure of the sky the image would flow better and the landscape would be more appreciated.
I just love the mood of this image. The framing is well balanced and I like the pano-ish crop you’ve chosen. I might work a little bit on the sand. The large round hump on the right side of the frame seems to be relatively dark compared to a lot of the sand and I would bring some of the light back to that area so it doesn’t look so capped off. This is a nice image to add to your White Sands series Mario. You had a wonderful shoot here and I’m envious of your time spent there. Keep them coming.

Hi Mario,
I think your rework with the suggestions from @David_Haynes pretty much nailed it for me. Everything just seems to feel more balanced and in sync. This has so much mood and depth with the layers of color. This has been a great series so far and I hope you have a few more to share with us.I have never been to White Sands as I would be afraid of the sand infiltrating my cameras and lenses. I will just have to enjoy what others post from the area.
