Pertinent technical details or techniques:

I got this (imported) Whooper Swan at first light a while back. D500, 2-500mm lens, 1/2500th, f 5.6 300mm, ISO 3600, hand held, cropped to 2587 x 3072. I incidentally got this shot while being set up to get a Bald Eagle in flight shot, hence the high speed.

I love the wavy reflection of the neck on this one, Dave. The composition feels a bit tight on the left and those blown highlights on the bird’s right side seem very distracting to me.

I like the interplay of light on the swan and the reflected neck is interesting. I would have liked a lower POV, though.
