Wild Geraniums

Geraniums are one of the later actors in the local show of spring ephemeral wildflowers. Their flowers open and close quickly, so I’ve found getting a good view challenging. This trio “behaved” well, with good colors and a nice shape. A six shot stack to get all three flowers sharp. (5D3, 180mm macro, 1/60 s, f/10, iso 800, tripod)

Beautiful! The stack was the right idea! I love the subtle lighting on the flowers, which complements the delicate detail. I do have to wonder about the greens in the BG, though – how a little less saturation and possibly bending the color a little would compare.

Had to play with it. Should have darkened the leaf in the LR even more.

NPN is not playing nicely so I can’t enlarge the photo, Mark but it is beautiful. I like the soft pastels of the flowers against the green. Is the green a bit bright, or is it just my monitor? Anyway, beautiful capture and a nice entry for the Weekly Challenge.
