Common Goldeneye taken this morning at an Urban park in the middle of Portland Oregon.
I have never seen one on the west side of the Cascades or one that was not in a wild river, so this was a sweet find in my neighborhood.

Very nice look at the Goldeneye. Good low angle and I like the color of the water. Saw what I thought was a female common at Talking Waters Garden in Albany and I regularly see them in Newport at the Marine Science Center and the south jetty.
Nice view of the head and of course love that golden eye. Nice details, exposure, and color. A pleasing pose - well done!

Another excellent low angle shot, Dan. Every once in awhile, we’ll see one on Capitol Lake or one of the other local bodies of water, but they’re not at all common, so it’s a very nice find.
