Saw this wild turkey fly over the neighborhood boat dock this past Spring while I was watching for herons. I was surprised to see it as I had never seen one before in the neighborhood.

Nice detail and I like the angle of the shot. i’ve seen a lot of turkeys wandering around the neighborhood over the years, but rarely in flight-very nice to get a shot of one.
We have quite a few of them but I’ve never seen them fly farther than into a nearby tree. Very nice catch!! Looks like a youngster from the gray head.
