Wilson's Snipe

What technical feedback would you like if any?

Large crop basically 1:1, not sure how you figure that as a percentge, about 5400x3600 to 1300x1000. still think the detail held up pretty well. Have had problems with noise in the water but thought this was OK and didn’t do anything with that. Pretty much basic adjustments in Light room.

What artistic feedback would you like if any?

This in a large puddle on the local golf course. Usually just see them in tall grass or as they fly away.

Any pertinent technical details:

Canon 7D markll, Sigma 150-600C, ISO 250, 600mm, 1/500sec, f/10, on a tripod, LR and PSCC. All comments are appreciated.

This did hold up for such a huge crop, Charlie.Nice to catch one of these out in the open. If you left it a bit smaller in the frame, the detail would probably look better in the bird.

As for the % of the original size, just do (1300x1000=1300000)/(5400x3600=19,440,000)=.0668 then multiply by 100 to get the percent or 6.68% of the original size, which is a very huge crop.

Although this does suffer from the large crop, it is amazing to catch one of these in the open. Nice find.

Thanks. Figured that everyone would blow it up anyway. More of a picture for documentation than artistic quality.
