The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
A female Pintail duck at sunrise. I could not get whole image in focus, but tried to concentrate on the eye and top of the wing. I like photographing birds in flight and capturing close ups to show the dynamics of flying.

A very interesting perspective of a bird in flight Bill. The morning sun is giving a lovely warm glow.
I think that I would like to see the wing a little lower below the beak, but overall I think that you have fulfilled your aim to show the dynamics of flight (the wingtip is a lot like an Airbus …biomimicry in play here I think)
I really like the composition here, Bill. It’s rather strange looking in the smaller version as that glow along the wing matches the background so closely, but it’s clear what’s going on in the larger image. Given today’s noise reduction technology, I think I’d go with more depth of field and let the iso compensate for this kind of image as I think it would have been much stronger had you been able to get the water drops on the body in crisp focus as well, though I’m not sure how high you can crank the iso on that body.
Dennis,
Thank you for the comments and I think on this type of shot, I’ll crank up the ISO and stopdown another f stop to try for better DOF. These are tricky because I have to keep the shutter speed high to stop the action. Thanks, Bill
