I like the scene, Allan. the whites on the neck of the drake aren’t showing any detail, so you might want to bring them down a bit. the image is also showing quite a bit of noise for that iso. Viewed at a reasonable distance it disappears, but it’s so easy to get rid of these days that you might as well do it. Also, there’s a little bright half circle at the bottom of the frame that you might want to remove.

Definitely a very peaceful image.

A lovely calming image indeed! I love the colour palette with background and ducks matching. I find the composition unusual…for me. I tend to place subjects toward the bottom third. Your image has produced a lovely layered effect.

Thanks for you comment, Glenys. This is something I picked up from @Dennis_Plank ; by placing the subject higher, there is a sense of looking at the bird at eye level (hope I got that right, Dennis).

When shooting down at the bird. When shooting up it often helps to place it lower in the frame for the opposite illusion. At least it works for the way I see the universe.
