Wooden Knobble - WC# 910

I have to admit this one was a bit difficult even when I could get up and down without excessive groaning…
This old part of a fallen tree was laying in the bottom of a dry-wash area when I first saw it. I’d been working with my 4x5 in the area and had to return on a follow up visit with my MF unit to even fit into the small space with a macro lens.
Anyway, nothing more to add as I’m not even sure what type of tree it came from as it was drifting debris from a previous flash flood event.
I did add a slight vignette to the image in post processing.

Really nice abstract, Paul. Great grain patterns, colors and textures. Processing looks spot on to me, too. Very well done.

Paul, the warm colors in the wood and that lovely swirling knot stand out well. I like that you included enough of the bark and other wood to set of the center well. The bark looks (lower left) like some kind of pine
