Woodfrog Tadpole

It’s tadpole time in the pond. Here’s a look at one Woodfrog tadpole grazing on an oak leaf under about an inch of water. Cropped to square. (R5, 180mm macro, 1/50 s, f/8, iso 200, tripod)

Shooting a tadpole (as little as they are) under water couldn’t have been an easy task. The leaf below him makes for a nice BG to make him stand out. I wish his position would have been further down in the image to allow him more room to move, but I’m sure it wouldn’t have been an easy thing to talk him into doing for you. Nice details in him and the leaf.

WOW Mark. It is a very clear photo with great details. That did look like a hard shot over all.
