Yellow Coneflower

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

Yellow coneflowers are one of my favorite prairie flowers and was only limited to one shot due to the wind. Big flowers shot with a long lens provide some nice soft backgrounds to make the subject stand out.

Specific Feedback

Nothing fancy and this is a natural light shot taken during mid morning. Do these shadows bother you?

Technical Details

Z9 180-400mm f4 + 1.4x TC engaged (1/160 sec at f13, ISO 125) DeNoise, Levels, canvas rotation.

Gorgeous image! Nicely seen and superbly processed.

Just wondering what a slightly darker background would look like. Your OP is fine, I’m simply curious.

Jim: Brilliant natural portrait and great use of your long lens rig. Most excellent. >=))>

Lovely! The shadows are natural and not distracting. Gorgeous yellows with good detail and a lovely BG. I could wonder about darkening the bottom half of the stem in a very subtle gradient.

Thank you @NPN_Editor for the EP and @Sandy_Richards-Brown , @Preston_Birdwell , @Bill_Fach , and @Diane_Miller for your critiques . @Preston_Birdwell i did see a small thumbnail version of this image with a darker BG and it did look very intriguing to my eye. I may have to that. @Diane_Miller that might be a good rainy day project to try…Jim

Only caught this now as an EP. I love the little spider silk on the left also. Congrats.
