Nice captures. David. Great poses in both, good detail, and very complimentary BG.
I like the second one, with the bug, best and would cut off a good bit of the right side. That perch is cool.
Sweet images!

I definitely like the second image, both are crisp, however the direction of the light in the second image makes for a better image IMHO. Perfect timing on both captures.

Thanks for your constructive criticism. The original of the first image had a little less room on the right side and I probably should’ve left it that way.
But I do like the head turn.

Always great to get a bug in a bird’s mouth.

David

Both fine captures David. Agree with cropping some from the right on the second image. I might try darkening the perch too. The bug in the mouth is a great get.

Nice job on these, David, especially at the range of that perch. It’s tough to get a small bird in crisp focus at that distance. I could see trimming that right side a bit in the second image.

Wonderful captures and processing, with great detail and wonderful BGs! I would also trim a little off the right in the second.
