An ancient image, resurrected and re-edited as best I could, for a project a couple months ago.
Very timely for this week’s WC!
I remember taking this series of images as if it were yesterday.
Total , deep silence as only insulating snow can offer, not a bit of wind, no spoken words, just 4 of us in grateful awe and veneration of the majesty of Yellowstone in winter.
There are actually 11 wolves - one is behind the first tree.

Wonderful, what a moment. I like the pano crop and the processing, just a few details left in the snow.
Nothing left to say, for me. Except that I would like to be there, and experience this.
Another great image. Composition and balance are right on. I’d like to, ( See the older images below for “Yellowstone Serenity 1”). Is there a link I missed, or should I go to your web site?
THANKS

Hi, Skip - when you open a thumbnail, at the very bottom, there will be several older images with similar themes or titles. I think my original “Yellowstone Serenity” will be shown there.
Apparently, it’s also listed now at the very top of the site under “recent Editor’s Picks” - even though the image is more than 6 years old. I don’t understand this site sometimes…
Thanks for the kind comments!
Th9is is an excellent pano of the wolf pack Sandy. Great catch. It is so clean and simple, and yet tells a wonderful story. Another excellent image Sandy. Nice work.
