Calm after the storm.

Description:

The image shows the aftermath of hurricane Ylenia that hit Germany in February 2022. Besides the storm, it brought heavy rainfalls and flooding. The shoreline of the river is normally located behind the first row of trees in the background only. From today’s point of view, after one of the driest summers in history, I find it hard to believe that there had been so much water.

Jana, this is a nicely bucolic scene that shows the high water on both sides of the river. The pleasantness of this scene belies the problems created and damage done.
