I didn’t travel any this year but thanks to my master gardener wife Christine and the Lowe’s Water Gardens I had plenty to shoot this year. It was hard to cull 10 out of the 2025 group but I think this sums up nicely the various opportunities I had. Thanks to everyone who posted and commented in 2025 and wishing all of you great subjects in 2026 and even better light. >=))>

Great collection from the past year Bill. I really like the flowers with the insects, and the second image with the black background is superb. The cat with the rainbow on its face is special. This just proves that you don’t have to travel to get great photos. Happy holidays and New Year to you. Looking forward to seeing more work from you in 2026.
I smiled my way through your year summary - what an eye for garden subjects you have. The pink flower with the array of cactus is just magic - that light is amazing. Here’s to looking forward to another fun year in your yard.
Its nice when you can photograph without having to go anywhere, carry anything, and sleep in your own bed when done. Congrats Bill on a wonderful set of photos, I particularly love White Hole.
Bill, I see a few new (at least to me) ones in this set. It is a great collection. Love the Granddaughter(??), cacti and lotus flowers, and the succulent with the black background.
A great set of images, and a fine reminder that it is possible to create great images close to home! I have myself photographed less and less near my home, but your images have now made me inspired to search for images nearby.
Bill, this is a super recap of this years photographic journey you’ve had. All are expertly photographed and post processed overall. I’d be extremely hard pressed to narrow the list down to my favorite overall. Wonderful work here…
Hi Bill,
Well, these images just go to show that you don’t have to travel far for some wonderful scenes to capture. My longest drive last year was four hours to Blackwater Falls SP in WV. My two favorites are the cacti; makes me miss one ones I used to have. I really love the vortex motion created with the needles in White Hole. Kudos to your master gardener and wife Christine.
