@Diane_Miller I have to say your bird photos are my favorites. I’m a birder so it’s my bias showing. They are all such wonderful shots in any case. The second image of the trees in the fog reminds me of all the trouble I have working with fog shots. I always seem to finish up with either too much detail or too little. The frost on the lupine is classic and wonderfully seen. Thank you for posting these beautiful photographs.
Beautiful, Diane. I think I’ve seen most of these except the two landscapes and those two hole up your reputation for producing great images on a regular basis. The foggy landscapes are actually probably my favorites. We have plenty of fog, but not many trees in our immediate area. I need to get out a bit on our foggy mornings to see what I can make of them.
Thanks, @Dennis_Plank and @Fred_Lord! I’m already wondering what next year will bring…
Glad you included the bluebird, Diane. The misty reflection is dynamite!
I remember most of these, Diane. They are all standouts! I’m a sucker for birds, so the birds are on the top of the list, especially the bird with cricket and ants. The pink bauhinia? and hibiscus flowers are delightful and then there is the B&W dewdrop image! Amazing!
Looking forward to see what 2026 brings.
Diane: I was looking forward to seeing your favorites and you did not disappoint. My only gripe is that I had to stand on my head to look at the first one
. The way you convey mood with the non-avian shots is wonderful. Thanks for all you do with NPN and for sharing your insights and expertise so willingly. May 2026 bring you even better subjects and marvelous light. >=))>
A fine collection of photos, Diane. I especially like the Bluebird and the wet Redbud. The redbud both shows off the flowers and new leaves and has a warm inviting spring feeling from the oof colors in the background.
Thanks, @Max_Waugh, @Glenys_Passier, @Bill_Fach and @Mark_Seaver! Wondering what I’ll shoot for New Year’s Day… (and beyond).
Great collection of images Diane. I always like seeing your bird photos as you capture them in such great poses and with interesting behavior. That one photo with all the dew drops on the leaves of a plant is wonderful.
All fabulous as always. Especially love the monochrome foggy trees with reflection. Ohh so beautiful. I can practically smell the rose! And the little ands clinging to the Blue Bird are wonderful and funny. The black and white leaves would make for a fantastic print.
Diane,
What a wonderful set of photographs. I love the bluebird photo particularly for the three ants that have hitched a ride on its tail. The ghost trees with that reflection in the fog is so evocative. And the timing of the last avian photo is timed so perfectly. Great work.
Thanks, @Kris_Smith and @Youssef_Ismail! I’ve been thinking about a print for the B/W leaves – time to go for it!
