Very pleasing composition with excellent detail environment, and pose. At first, I thought it was in the water behind a small wavelet. Very cool!
The high key comp is very effective.
Wonderful detail and an unusual composition that succeeded well. These guys always look to me like they are wishing you weren’t photographing them.
I love the texture in that ridge (driftwood?). It’s a nice complement to the plumage.
Comp-wise, I’d lean toward putting the vulture in the left third given the directional gaze, but alternatively having it directly centered might work too, since it’s a bold graphic element against the neutral surroundings. Right now it’s sort of in between.
