A desert wash

Description

I was on a knoll looking down at a desert wash. The tree limbs and foliage caught my eye. I thought the scene called for a high-key treatment.

Very Cool and Interesting image. Love your vision. The Lines and the Tone are really cool. I wonder what a little more contrast may represent but I think it works well as you have it. !!!

Fantastic subject for high key! A delicate network of shapes and lines. The striking thing for me is the delicate feather-like almost-white leaves. (IR??) The 3D effect of the nearer foliage partially covering the slender branches adds a wonderful interest. I love the distribution of the three groups of branches – excellent seeing and presentation!

Maybe a very small suggestion would be to lighten the branches close to the top edge, as the other edges have a natural light vignette.

Gill, Diane, thank you both. This wasn’t an infrared shot but it has that look.

Beautifully done, Don. I really like the feel of this image with all the intricate light detail that kind of merges into a texture around the darker large limbs.

Don,

This is delightful. This one should be an example defining the term "out of chaos, order, " or however that goes.

A little subtle as I didn’t notice, but you did an effect job with the reverse vignette, ie; lighter fade away rather than the typical darker fade. Well done. No nits or suggestions.

Dennis, Lon, thanks for the kind words.
