Desert mountains

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

Recently I’ve been fascinated by rock outcrops. There are no clear clues as to scale in this one. It made me think of an aerial view of the desert. The tallest “peak” here is 3-4 inches high.

Specific Feedback

Any and all comments would be welcome.

Technical Details

ISO 100, 187mm, f/22, 1/4 sec.

Don, lots of interest here. The various shapes, colours, peaks, and shadows are very cool.

I can certainly see a desert scene in this, Don. There’s one little patch of dead plant and a single twig both in the upper left quadrant that do give a hint of scale and I’d be tempted to remove them, if possible. A very interesting image.

I missed the dead plant and the twig, Dennis. Thanks for catching them.
