A Mouthful

Critique Style Requested: Standard

Description

Roseate Spoonbill, full breeding colours, Stick Marsh, Florida
The reeds these guys use for nesting material have very long, shallow roots. It’s common for the birds to rip out many feet of the reeds and roots to fly back to their nests.

Specific Feedback

I cloned out a small amount of BG junk. Is there still too much?
I got tired !

A very nice behavioral image, Sandy. I like the composition.

Great look at the Spoonbill with excellent detail and color rendition. I like the look it is giving you. Definitely tells a story. I could see a crop from the right and maybe cloning out the dark stick on the left protruding over the water.

Nic behavioral catch Sandy with fine details and color. Always love seeing these birds on my travels down south from here. I like this composition but I could see an alternative taking out the dark diagonal stick on the left behind the bird (as Allen suggested) and cropping in some from the left. Nice image.

Hi Sandy
I love the eye contact. nice work.
