Cool abstract, Don. I like the warm vs cool color contrast. I do think the fronds could be a tad brighter, and those three bright spots there grab my eye. The color palette is nice, and the saturation looks good to me.

I like the interesting patterns and the shades of brown in the right portion of the image, Don. The dark areas with barely lit fronds on the left just doesn’t do anything for me personally, though the idea of light and dark certainly has interest.

Preston, Dennis, thanks for the critiques. You’ve given me food for thought.

Don,

Cool ICM capture. I might agree with previous comments about the fronds being a little dark and a bit lost. The dynamic light/color on the right together with the fronds are kinda competing against one another; it’s pretty darn close to a 50-50 split.

My thought would be to crop some either off the left or right (I think you might have 2 viable alternatives here!) But also somehow raise the luminosity of the fronds to be more present.

I do think the 2 colors and patterns play off each other, and so that works, but for me, as presented I think this could be improved.
