Like this Ben. Its the sense of, “what’s around the corner”, that you get with this and the curving path which enhances that impression, like the soft colours but unusually for me I would like to see a slightly improved contrast in the tree with the sun hidden behind it. It just feels a little too weak there and needs just slightly more punch. The colours though are great. Especially the vaguely purple heathers and juxtopsition with the greenery. The fence is not particularly an attractive old one, but short of removing it with PS if you don’t mind that sort of thing, at least it fades into the mist.
@Ian_Cameron , @Don_Peters .I thank you both for so thoroughly critique my image.
Don, The fence is just there, but I think I found a solution to make it less noticeable .Ian, What you suggest is also for me an improvement .
That’s why I made this remake. I hope you like it.
Ben
Hi Ben,
I think you nailed it with the tweaks in the rework. The light is sublime and I like the way the tree on the left balances the heather on the right. The fence did not bother me with the exception of the section at the top; which you took care of. Beautiful image and mood!
I do like it Ben. There is just that little extra punch and contrast with the tree and the sun burst behind which I think feels more naturally balanced. I’s a very pleasing shot.
Ben, this is a very inviting view, with the purple flowers, the arching roadway, the subtle sunstar and especially the sunlight streaming across the frame.
A very small star sends big rays! I always admire in your photos the ability to wonder us with the lights, soft or strong as in this case. Colors and lights in the right grass are beautiful. Another excellent and emotive image Ben.
