Wonderful Ben. There is much of your brand here but there is also something new as well.
Ben - a Lovely, peaceful image. All I can think of is taking a nap in those wildflowers. I’d like to see a tad more detail in the main tree - the shadows/highlight tool might do it.
Ben,
Very nice play of shadow and light. A testiment to not having to go to exotic locations to make an impressive photo.
I also like this one very much. Unlike Sandy, I wouldn’t bring out more detail in the main tree. I think you have everything just about right.
Did you try black and white with this one?
Igor, A valuable comment for me, Thank you.
Sandy, to me this is it. I thank you for pointing out the other possibility .
Youssef, so true. Thank you
Don, what a nice comment. No, I didn’t try B&W for this image.
Igor, your comment made me think about what that something new is that you experience in my work ? I am curious. My thanks in advance ! Ben
I believe the shadows are much stronger than you usually make them and therefore this image leans toward being expressive rather than realistic. It’s likely that the actual world as captured by camera is this way but the eye compensates for the darkness and sees those shadows more lightly.

Wow! Ben, I’ve been away from NPN for a while so I’m trying to take in all I can again. Your image stopped me in my tracks! Such beautiful light coming in, not too harsh, looks to be just right. Goldilocks light! Beautiful, thanks for sharing!

Igor, thank you so much for this comment. It teaches me to look in the right way at my own images. I not always see what is happening in them.
