Lovely scene, Ben, as always. This has a peaceful, serene feel to it. . .a place I feel invited to go to. The verse complements the image. Nicely done.
This could only be yours, Ben. You are so able to convey and replicate the amazing light you encounter. The wb looks a bit cyan on my monitor, but other than that, the presentation and arrangement is really excellent.
Youssef, I see this as great compliment from you as the man behind Organic light photography .You ask how I do it. I always just look for the difference in light even on a cloudy, overcast day. And than I just do!
Ben
Kirsten, Thank you for your nice comment.
I see no cyan on my monitors, maybe a tiny bit green.
The issue with monitors and printers is the different outcome . As your and my monitor give different colors. I find that difficult .
Greetings Ben
I have to fall right in line Ben; this fits so well with your body of work. The canopy of the tree with the light beams spreading beneath has an angelic quality that is very pleasing.
It’s always challenging to comment on composition without knowing the options that can’t be seen, but I wonder about a few steps to the right so that the bush on the right was out of the frame (but keeping the tree centered)?
Hopefully calibration minimizes this issue some. After reading @Kris_Smith’s idea I played with warming this a little in Photoshop. Personal preference is always important with this sort of thing too, but on my monitor I prefer the warmer version.
I didn’t need to check to see if this lovely image was yours Ben. You have this wonderful talent of capturing woodland scenes with such amazing light that shows off the beauty and character of the trees and their surroundings. This has a spiritual feel to it with the descending rays of light. No suggestions from me. BTW, I love the haiku as well.
John, a very late reply on your comment. Thanks for your remark that few steps to right or left could make a difference . I should use my statief more and take more time for an image. But if that ever wil happen? I don’t know. My monitors are both calibrated an look the same. it keeps my busy !
