A winter woods streamside twilight

Twilight in a winter woods is amazingly quiet, with no birds or insects making their bedtime calls. As I sat beside the Hawlings River in MD, the only sound was the quiet rush of the river, making for a wonderfully peaceful time. Hopefully, this view captures some of that sense of quiet enjoyment.

It sure does , Mark. Your composition is inviting and lets me (as the viewer) slowly absorb the scene. The overall dark theme contributes to this feeling. A very lovely image indeed.

I can almost hear the quiet rush of the water as it makes it’s way through the scene, Mark. This does has a lovely reflective mood which I find thoroughly enjoyable. You succeeded perfectly.
