Winter's quiet

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

On a cool foggy winter morning I decided to explore along a local river that’s basically a long skinny park. This is one picture from that walk, looking along the upper reaches of the Patuxent River. My final edit (thinking about this week’s theme) was a slight overall darkening that, for me, captures the quiet, somewhat gloomy sense of a wintertime fog event.

This one is appealing, Mark. I like the way you framed it. The rocks nearby at the bottom help to give the shot depth. You certainly captured the feel of winter.

Beautiful image Mark. I would recommend a long pano of the top 1/3rd of this image.
