Tis the season for baby birds! Here is part of a gull family enjoying the water front. From what I can tell, this is a Mew Gull mother and two of her 4 chicks. Taken at the entrance jetty of the Valdez Small Boat Harbor, Valdez, Alaska. Please view large. It makes a big difference in presence!

Another fine “local” shot, Gary. The three birds stand out very well in the larger view. The touch of surf moving in from the right adds well to the location.
I really like the point of view on this image and the depth of field.
