Description
this was taken in my front yard garden. It was taken at least five or six years ago. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that junco with plumage of this nature. I elected remove some of the maroon cast I hope I did a good job.

Lovely!! I’ve seen some with pinkish coloration but I can’t say if it was exactly like this. They seem to have a lot of variability. Gorgeous perch, BG, pose, sharpness, detail … the works! Well done!
What a great shot! Mr. Fluffy is in a great pose, and I love the perch.
Colours look great from here - I’ve seen this pinkish cast before.
A little more room all around, if possible, would be good.

This follows your standard bird portrait format nicely. Comp is fine, subject is sharp with a killer BG. A little more room would never hurt and help if you were going to mat this for framing. Great shot and Well done…Jim
Excellent image, David. The fluffed out pose is perfect and I think it’s just the pose that’s giving the plumage a different look as the pinkish sides are pretty common amongst our juncos (usually varies from pink to tan on the lower sides).
