Alligator, San Bernard NWR, TX

The wildlife refuges along the Texas Gulf coast have lots of alligators. The San Bernard NWR has a driving loop along waterways that allows for good chances to photograph wildlife from your vehicle. This one hasn’t been cropped. I did get out of the truck to get a bit lower perspective but couldn’t get any lower due to grasses in the way. I like the look of this big guy and the grasses surrounding him.

Specific Feedback Requested

I might shave a little bit off the bottom but am pretty happy with the crop as shot. What do you think?

Nice capture, Terri. I like seeing the 'gator in his natural surroundings. I worked a temporary job assignment for about nine months out of Lake Charles, La. Driving the backroads, we would often see 'gators lounging in the water in the bar ditches. One could easily get photos from the car. Crop looks good to me.
