The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

My son and I were kayaking in Lord Cove, Old Lyme CT last month when this drama presented itself. Usually, red wing blackbirds and osprey live peaceably in the habitat they share, but this osprey apparently crossed a line.

Technical Details

Fuji X-H2, XF 70-300 with 1.4X extender, ISO 200, f7.1, 1/1000s. In post, adjusted lighting and cropped a whole bunch since they were distant from me.

Cool catch and behavioral image, Jim. The extreme crop is starting to show, but as a behavioral image it still works.

Thanks for your comments Dennis and I totally agree about the crop. Was waffling about uploading but decided the story was too good not to share. The original RAW file was 80mb and I uploaded a 287kb jpg file so no free lunch this time!
