Description
I went back out to Wakodahatchee Wetland around 4 PM hoping to catch the setting sun, all I got was rain. I am still working on, do I change the shutter speed for more rain action or keep it at1/1600, in case the bird takes off. I used one Graduated filter to lower the foreground and Hue Picker to just the greens in the background and on the Green Heron. Thank you for stopping by.

Hi Peter, nice environmental image with a good view of the heron and where he hangs out. I like seeing the backside colors and patterns of the bird while also seeing the eye. Nice details. Rain and processing looks good to me. The 1/1600 keeps you ready for a take off/flight shot as you mention.
I really like the blue green colors in the back feathers in this one Peter. Nice detail in the feathers, and nice overall composition among the water plants too. The rain adds a nice touch.
Rain images are always fun, Peter, and this is no exception. Feather detail looks great. It may be my monitor, but that blue/green in the brighter areas of the plumage is something I’ve never seen before.
Hi Allen, Ed & Dennis
Thank you for the comments. Dennis I used a Hue Picker on the Heron to bring out the birds coloring , so it maybe just the lighting on that day.
