I’ve never seen a bird look so yellow. Even his toes are yellow. It’s great to see birds I have never seen before.
The pose he has given you is full of energy and looks like he could fly off any second. Nice perch and wonderful background.
Would you consider placing the perch on a bit of a downward angle? I realise you wouldn’t want to lose any of that lovely branch.

David, for me, I like the RP better. I hope you do too.
If you’re up for a bit more play, and within your ethics, would you consider using the Transform Tool, Distort - to shorten the branch to make the interesting bits just a bit closer to the bird. Maybe then a bit more added canvas on top?
Wonderful capture of this little beauty! Yellows are difficult but they look great here. Wonderful BG and I love the RP – the bird even looks more balanced vertically. Good suggestion from @glennie!
