Is this a composite: No
A7Riv, FE200-600 + 1.4 TC @ 840 mm, crop sensor mode (just to test it out), tripod with ball head and Sidekick mount, f/9, 1/2500, iso 1250, manual exposure. Processed in LR & PS CC. Cropped to 5598x3884 (full frame in crop sensor mode is 6240x4160). A couple of bright dead grass stems and a tiny stub on the perch removed. Taken April 22nd at 6:48 PM.

Love the head turn, the grass, and the log. Light was really nice. My only two nits are that I think the image a just a hair dark, and that sawed off nub adds a hand-of-man feel.

Really nice capture of this sparrow in great light. Details and pose on the bird are great. Pleasing background also. The nub doesn’t bother too much - the curve kind of matches that of the bird.

Excellent color, detail, head turn. Exposure looks right on to me. F10 might have made the nub a little sharper.
