I had a nice soft light passing through the last leaves of Automn in the trees. Most of them where already on the ground. Most of the time I’m using my 24-70mm in woodland, but in this case 24mm was not large enough to capture the scene. I used my 14-30mm on my Z7, at 18mm. I’m pretty satisfied with this choice.
Feedback Requests
I’m looking for feedback about my lens choice and the composition. Are the green leaves and the chestnut husk not too much in scene. Should I get more trees heigh and less leaves in foreground ?
Arnaud: I like this pretty much as is and love the scene as it plays out. I think your proportion of leaves to the tunnel of the trees is spot on. My only suggestions would be to tone down the highlights in the sky and the details in the leaves would be much easier to perceive if the image was larger. You can post as much as 2000 pixels on the long side. A nice find an a fine comp and capture. >=))>
Arnaud, I’m thoroughly enjoying the long look along the leaves. I also like the tunnel through the trees and the arching tree trunks, but do feel like the overall brightness, especially in the sky and the leaves is a bit too much. I think your proportion of leaves to forest is fine.
