Yes, this scene translates very nicely to B&W. I think the tighter, more mirrored composition works fine too. I think keeping the sky lighter and the trees darker works well. The dark trees create a nice contrast against the lighter tones of the mountain. Well done…
Richard, This is a beautiful scene and I like the b&w conversion. The pano format works very nice and you have some great clouds and reflections to set it off.
