Bad Timing!

When @David_Schoen and I were going to Ridgefield Monday, we carpooled from my place and I invited him down ahead of time to try to shoot the flock of Western Bluebirds that have been coming to our yard all this fall. This was the scene about 15 minutes before he showed up when I went out to feed birds. Needless to say, there weren’t any around while he was in the blind!

What technical feedback would you like if any?

Please pardon the abysmal image quality. This one’s just for fun.

What artistic feedback would you like if any?

Chime in if you like.

Any pertinent technical details:

7DII, Sigma 150-600 C @ 600 mm, hand held, f7.1, 1/320, iso 3200, manual exposure (deliberately underexposed about 2/3 stop to try to get a usable shutter speed).

You may only download this image to demonstrate post-processing techniques.

This is a sweet image. No nits from me, other than to suggest a crop from the right. Western Bluebirds are one of my favorites. We get flocks of the around here from time to time.

They are waiting for you. You could crop from the left removing the bird from the upper lh corner too…Jim
