Bald Eagle - Environmental Portrait

Another image from my trip to Yellowstone. This beautiful Bald Eagle chose a great perch. I particularly liked the partially snow covered branches. I had to climb up a hill get to to a reasonably eye level view and enable me to use the distant mountain as a background.

Another choice to not crop very much and present a nearly full frame view with the environment.

That is one gorgeous snag, Keith, and the Eagle is nice as well. I like your decision to get the mountain in the background-it provides a great sense of environment.

Again, I like your choice not to crop. The perch, open area around the bird and far away background are all really nice.

Same comment, a good choice not to crop. The environment is beautiful and interesting, and the bird large enough.

Large image is wonderful. Superb crop. Really like the cool tones in the image which helps embrace the cold environment of Yellowstone in the winter.

Great shot, Keith, and I too love the scenery included with this beautiful eagle.

A nice job on the eagle and I like the sense of place you captured.
